Der Right Livelihood Award und seine Geschichte

Vor 40 Jahren erhielt Leopold Kohr als erster Österreicher den Right Livelihood Award. Dieser 1980 von Jakob von Uexküll gestiftete Preis erhielt bald den Beinamen "Alternativer Nobelpreis". Ziel der Stiftung war es, eine Auszeichnung für Themen wie Ökologie, Menschenrechte, globale Gerechtigkeit, Zivilcourage und andere Aspekte der modernen Gesellschaften zu schaffen, die im "klassischen" Nobelpreis bislang zu kurz kam. » mehr...
